The course is an excellent first step in understanding the concepts of going into the ICU. This won't teach you everything and make you a master in the ICU, but it will show you the ideas you should be familiar with. It is up to the individual to further educate themselves in what they are struggling with, but the course will show you that overview to help get your mind in the ICU mindset. I feel more comfortable going into depth with the content Ashley Adkins went over, and I believe that her course gives you that foundation to start. You can tell in her videos that she is passionate and knowledgeable in the ICU and would be an excellent preceptor to any RN under her wing.
